Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

ForexAcuity ("we", "us") provides forex market analysis tools, real-time trading signals, a trading journal, and a practice trading simulator via our website (forexacuity.co.uk) and our iOS application. We are based in the United Kingdom and act as the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Contact: admin@forexacuity.co.uk.

2. What we collect

• Account data — your email address and a password (stored as a secure hash by our authentication provider, Supabase). We never see or store your plain-text password.
• Subscription and payment data — payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and subscription status; your card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers.
• Trading journal data— journal entries you create, including trades logged automatically by the iOS app's practice simulator (marked as simulated). This data exists so you can review your own performance; it is private to your account.
• Technical data — standard server logs (IP address, request time, user agent) kept for security and reliability, and an authentication session token stored on your device so you stay signed in.

3. iOS app permissions

• Camera / Photo Library — used only if you choose to attach chart screenshots to journal entries or save charts to your library. Nothing is accessed without your explicit permission.
• Face ID— if enabled, biometric authentication happens entirely on your device via Apple's frameworks. Biometric data never leaves your device and is never available to us.

4. How we use your data

We use your data to operate the service: authenticating you, delivering market data and signals, storing your journal, processing your subscription, and keeping the platform secure. We do not sell your personal data, show third-party advertising, or use your data for purposes unrelated to the service.

5. Who processes your data

We use a small number of processors to run the service:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting
• Stripe — payment processing
• IONOS — server hosting

Each processes data only on our instructions and under their own security and compliance programmes.

6. Retention

Account and journal data are kept while your account is active. Server logs are rotated on a short cycle. When your account is deleted, your personal data and journal entries are removed from our systems; payment records are retained only as required by law (e.g. tax and accounting obligations).

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and request a copy of data you provided in a portable format. You can delete your account from within the iOS app (Settings → Delete Account) or by emailing admin@forexacuity.co.uk from your registered address. You also have the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

8. Not financial advice

ForexAcuity provides analysis tools and educational features, including a practice simulator using virtual funds. Nothing in the service constitutes financial advice, and no real-money trading is executed through the platform or app.

9. Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged in the app or by email.
